Title How to implement the redirect service

The redirect service allows you to use short, custom abbreviated URLs for targeted use of your Codewarp Application. The redirect service also catches the most notorious HTTP error code 404 not found.

To enable the redirect service and you must customize your HTTP 404 error message by mapping to the redirect service URL. For example;

  1. In the Internet Information Services snap-in, select the website or virtual directory you are running the Codewarp Application that you would like to customize HTTP errors, and then click Properties.
  2. Select Custom Errors.
  3. Select the HTTP 404 error.
  4. Click Edit Properties.
  5. Select URL from the drop-down list.
  6. Type the URL, that points to your customized error message by entering the path to the URL beginning with the virtual directory name. If the file is present on the root of your Web site, you don't need to enter a virtual directory name.
  7. Click OK.

Now from within your Codewarp application you can edit the Redirect object records to enable shortcuts to you most used URLs.
